That’s really interesting because it brings up the idea of why we play. I’m sure the gameplay is world class. Since it’s a narrative driven game does the story carry equal or more weight then the actual gameplay? Guess everyone is different but I’m curious where people stand.
If the game is very story focused and the story is bad, a good chunk of the game is going to fall flat no matter the player's tastes, because people will either not care about it at best or actively dislike it at worse. There is no gain for the player there. The whole game might not be affected, but it certainly will be a rather important piece of the pie.
