You'd think so; Switch after all is very different to PS3/360 in terms of architecture so porting that version with its now ancient Cryengine 3 code wouldn't be a quick fix. Like I say, the only reason I'm even concerned at all is that it's happened before.

Still, given Saber and Crytek's track record I think it's thankfully more likely we'll see the PS4/Xbone version trimmed back to run on Switch, maybe 720p/30fps with a few of the more demanding effects toned down or disabled; lower res shadows, pulled in LODs, etc.

Being a Crysis game I feel it really should be a system showcase on every platform, as that's a big part of the IP's identity. A poor port would be unbecoming.

I know Nintendo doesn't care much about these stuff but would be good if they involved themselves and supported a good port effort.

I remember reading/hearing somewhere about Nintendo helping devs out with getting stuff running on Switch, though I can't recall the exact titles.

Still though, Crytek are renowned for their technical skill and Saber have experience with bringing demanding software to Switch already, (Witcher 3, plus World War Z currently in the works) so I wouldn't think they'd have trouble.
