That's because they broke off from the Publisher that owns the rights to the name F.E.A.R. They have the rights to the characters and story, however, so they let people help decide a new title.
I enjoyed F.E.A.R. despite playing the mediocre port to PS3. Most likely I'd play the PS3 version of the new game over the Wii version, but I'll be interested in how well it is pulled off.
