Europeans need to stop a minute. Just think about this. I had appendicitis and went into emergency room. My parents at time helped me pay for MRI, surgeon, etc. You know what USA hospital tried to charge me for just room one night and pain killers. 20k. It was written off but that's what hospitals do here. They don't give a damn about you as long as they can suck you dry.  That's problem with for profit hospitals.

A few days later, Askini got the bills for her testing and treatment: $34,927.43. “I was pretty sticker-shocked,” she says. “I personally don’t know anybody who has that kind of money.”

If you're hospitalized with COVID-19 and don't have insurance, you'll likely owe $73,000. One chart shows how broken the system is for the most vulnerable.

For those with insurance who are using in-network providers, out-of-pocket costs will be a portion of $21,936 to $38,755, depending on the cost-sharing provisions of their health plan.

Its honestly disgusting,.... a pandemic, which isnt something you can just "avoid", can cost you 73,000$.
Thats so damn unfair.  If your young, get hospitalised, get out, and get a bill like that....

The worst is, imagine your a nurse or someone, working to save lives.
And you get it yourself, trying to protect others lives.... and get stuck with a bill like that? it shouldnt be like that.
