But Shulk's character is also a trope.

So what if those two are completely reboots?

Shulk's VA, Adam Howden, went a long way towards making him more likeable than a typical JRPG/anime protag, so he didn't annoy me.

And again, I'd rather all new games. I want fresh, exciting new experiences, not retreads of stuff I already played.
