Alvis in the trailers, his necklace was changed from a Key in the original game to a crystal-like blades or Pyra. It's the same shape. Gears fans know it as the Zohar.So now we know Alvis is the 3rd Aegis. I know they will change the space station to not only be facing the earth this time but also jet out of it like XB2. So they are already connecting the 2 games even more so.

The DLC could connect them further. It could tie into the XB2 DLC. It could tie into XB3. But here is a crazy idea. Unlikely but possible.

It ties into X. Now while there is a quest in the game to dig up a replica Monando. Few remember this. We can take the Monando hairclips as fanservice but not so sure on the side quest where you dig up a Monando replica. Top it off there is a telethia in the game. Maybe it's Melia far far in the future. But how as they escaped Earth that blew up? Alt universe or who knows the entire effects Shulk did when he wished for a world with no gods. Timelines and stuff get thrown out. Sounds silly now but they may just try to link them.

Then there is the insane and I mean insane idea that it crosses over with Xenosaga or Gears. We had Saga blades in XB2. Maybe Square is kind enough to let a crossover happen with Gears even if very brief. The whole thing with XB2 revelation is it created multiple universes and this maybe how they all tie together. They all have the Zohar
