Sweden finally decided to banned gatherings over 50 people... we still havent heard what types of gatherings is not effected...
Still isnt enough but atleast its something.

I'm shocked that so little is being done here, I visited my family in Norway a couple of weeks ago, drove back yesterday, not a single soul on the border and completely free passage into Sweden. Even in my house here in Stockholm, people are scurrying about as usual, despite most of the tenants being elderly and/or belonging to various groups at risk.

Stockholm city has decided that restaurants will be allowed to open their outdoor seating and serving earlier this year in order to get more people to go out and eat and drink at bars and restaurants. They refuse to close bars and pubs, but say it's not allowed to stand in the bar to order, gyms and swimming pools still open, schools still open (universities and high schools are closed though), and graduate students in senior high are going to be allowed back in school as well.

I went to buy some groceries a few hours ago, stores were packed, people standing with their nethers pressed together in queues, pushing around and generally acting as if nothing's amiss. And the two stores I visited were positively swimming with elderly people.

Why did Norway enforce mandatory measures? Because that's apparently the only that works. People here in Stockholm are still going skiing in other regions as well, fucking idiots. Sweden has a death rate three times higher than Norway now but insists that the Norwegians are making a mistake (and the rest of Europe as well, of course). Unbelievable is what it is.

I feel sorry for my friends who work at hospitals here. And I feel sorry for the Swedish people who are being led by such a feeble bunch. The only reason Riksdagen isn't pushing for more mandatory quarantine measures is that they're afraid of being blamed for crashing the economy. Let's see what happens when the healthcare system collapses; it was on its way even before the pandemic. Fucking hell.

Its a matter of how likely you think it is to keep spreading.
Sweden is all in, playing this game of poker, on herd immunity and smart isolation of the risk groups.

Its about to get really dangerous in sweden, for the elderly (large amounts of the population will soon have this virus).
Also its likely that hospitals will soon be overwhelmed so death rates will go way up.

However on the bright side, if your a old person, and you manage to survive the next month or two, chances are you wont have to worry about it anymore. While in other countries where spread is slower, you might "worry" about getting it for along time to come.

Its a balanceing act.
Sweden believes its takeing the right course, and everyone else in the world is wrong.

UK was on the same path until resently.
Then they chicken out.....  Sweden is gonna brave this risk, and see how it plays out.

To be fair, some places in the US, their doing the same, though probably more due to greed or worry about the economy.
Only time will tell which route was the best one.

If theres a another outbreak spread, say 6-12months from now.
Sweden is the smartest kid on the block.

^ if not, it likely killed alot of people for no reason.
