The quarterly sales of Animal Crossing in the earnings report will be a sight to see. If we just count all previous mainline AC games (excluding Amiibo Festival/Happy Home Designer) I'm 100% sure that NH has outdone them all combined. Digital included, it's outdone everything including those two (and likely even including all the 5000 re-releases the original game had on N64 and GC)

I agree, it likely did, which is insane. It wasn't as if the series wasn't a big seller already. If this game also has legs like the DS and 3DS games, we're in for something very special.
