Most likely not,Sony never used such a pricing for a launch and it has been rare for all brands to use such a launch price in the last 15 years.

It is sometimes used as pricing for a more expensive second type of a product but rarely for this, even if it can be priced at **,49 companies will tend to up it to **,99 because of the conception that products with more 9's in the last digits get sold more.(And lower it to ,99 because the first digits are what resonate the most so it does feel like a lot lower priced then just that one cent while instinctively still having the attraction of the 9,s)

Also,do you mostly play multiplatform games?

Just because it has never happened, doesn't mean it can't happen.

I play a mix of multiplat and exclusives.

For consoles, I don't care so much about the exclusives, you have the rare game on Switch (Zelda), Xbox (Halo) or Playstation (Uncharted) that I *might* be interested in, but for the most part, the exclusives I want are on PC.

Indeed and that's why i commented the pricing most likely will not happen, there is ofcourse always a chance it does.

Bolded:That seems to be the reasonable thinking if you want to play with the best performance/hardware yes and with some luck you might get a lot of the older and new console exclusives on PC too.
