Hey, cool kid, sorry to hear about the bullying he got, perhaps you could try and record and few bits of him showing off the switch in area's where he gets to enjoy the machine, might open people his ages eyes to it if you have a video where you guys are doing the shopping and he gets to sit and keep on enjoying what he loves because you can just bring the machine with you, or how you can play the Switch when it's raining outside and sports kids can't do their hobby if you get me?

Kinda him explaining the benefits to people his age the pros of what he loves, even though it's likely that none of his bullies would ever watch it, it will give him a chance to outwardly express and re-enforce why he loves "Geekdom" and heck, if even a handful of people his age do stumble onto the video they might smile seeing someone else their age is loving their hobby and expressing a love of it rather than hiding it in fear of being mocked.

As others have said in here, Bullies do exist in all walks of life, not just as a kid but in teens and in workplace but they're a thing which we have to learn how to navigate around, confront or just learn from what is wrong with them, normally bullies have far greater issues than their victims in terms of home life / mental health overall, it's clear your kid is doing great in both those fields with a great dad so he'll do okay :)
