I must admit, it's still kinda disappointing to me that Sony/MS seem eternally set on the path of incremental hardware upgrades; that's a big part of why I prefer Nintendo, they almost always try something new and fresh in terms of hardware and controllers, and while that doesn't always work out, when it does we get systems like Wii and Switch that are just so much more exciting to me than a standard console with better graphics.

On the HW front I never seem so much new features announced as Xbox done with their system. And PS 3D audio and SSD solution are very fresh.

For me the main thing is the controllers though; PS/Xbox seem set on sticking eternally to a standard circa 1997 dual analogue controller which just feels so outdated to me at this point.
