Iran and Italy are definitely taking the brunt of new cases and deaths.

Another angle to consider is how fast new cases are popping up in some countries. Egypt and Palestine, for instance, both more than doubled their cases overnight. Totals are still small but could that be an indicator of a potential problem? Egypt had 3 and now they have 15. A 5 fold increase.

They are probably just very late in testing. For over a week already cases identified in other countries were linked back to recent travel from Egypt. Who knows how long it has been spreading in Egypt in the mean time, which is likely also true for other countries. An average incubation period of 9 days, longer to get sick enough to get worried and seek help, up to 3 weeks to die from the disease. Many don't get detected until they're already in the serious phase.
