I'd rather people appear to ask a stupid questions than not ask at all. 

In fact the flu vaccination is modified when a new strain of flu happens.

Edit: As far as I can see the President was asking if the current Flu vaccinations could have a impact on the Coronavirus. Of course he aint a doctor and I'm pretty sure there are people in the world seeking a distinction and clarification of such.
