Which I very much expect but with the service being offered for a little as £1 for the first month, I wonder how MS are even making money from it. But alas, that's for MS to lose from and gamers to benefit from. :) |
MS is probably loosing money from GP. It's just that their looking to catch a much bigger fish post next gen, when they are convinced we all be gaming in the cloud. It's just like Amazon. In the 20 years amazon has been around they have mostly been loosing money from their online sales on amazon.com. However, it's their cloud business that's making them a fortune. https://www.equities.com/news/microsoft-has-quietly-made-the-switch-of-the-century
MS's stock has been skyrocketing even though the Xbox division's revenue is dropping 1 billion year-over-year and console sales basically crashed. MS's new focus on Cloud gaming is great for share holders, but I'm just not sure it will so great for us gamers.
