Defending one's position isn't the same as attacking somebody. I am defending my position. Any cheek is coming from the passive aggressive retorts. The innocent act is old and tired. Fact is you are going after my position asking for clarification after clarification after clarification. You do so "nicely" with a giant undertone of aggression. Again, the act is old. Every single one of your retorts comes across as "you shouldn't feel that way because x,y and z." The comment about "not thinking it through" comes off as a backhanded jab at my intelligence. As for being even more specific:
1) Yes I am against ALL forms of gameplay changing MTX. Including swords. Games should be developed with balance in mind, selling gameplay items that directly alter the difficulty is a giant NO from me. Including swords. These types of MTX should NEVER be allowed.
2) Yes, I view it as PURE GREED. Square knows people like collecting in their games, many like to have all items, especially summons. Putting items and summons behind a paywall is a MTX, plain and simple. The act is PURE GREED.
3) And yes, I have THOUGHT THIS THROUGH.
Anything else need clarification? My stance is clear. What else do you want me to say?
I love FFVII, one of my favorite games of all time. I will probably pick up the Remake, but will do so via a sale. I am not supporting game altering MTX greed. I would take this stance with Sony, Nintendo, Microsoft, From Software, etc, etc etc. Square is no exception. I don't support gameplay altering MTX products at full price. Never have, never will. Any game that is layered with MTX will be purchased on sale for half price, in hopes to send a clear message to developers instead of rolling over.
