You misunderstand, we're not saying these Wii games are among the best looking games of the entire generation, just that they are the best looking on the Wii.

And i actually think the best looking Wii games still look quite nice even at 480p.

Quite nice? What screen size do you play on? They look acceptable but that's it. Wii was never supposed to compete in graphics, wii was supposed to be a new way to play games and to broaden the gaming audience. I'm not even mentioning 480i resolution which is basically half 480p, Im more concerned for the jaggies on all 3d games, Galaxy was alright on a 32inch TV, any bigger than that and jaggies was just in your face.

With that said, Mario 3d on wiiU looks amazing on my 100inch screen, really impressive.

On top of that only a couple top games looked decent on wii, if you put stuff like call of duty or other 3rd party 3d games it looks horrible.

But who are we trying to fool here? The wii is barely more powerful than a gamecube, as gamers we know it doesn't look as good as 360 games. And that's OK, Nintendo didn't promise any more than that.

This is actually the biggest reason I was surprised the wiiU didn't take off, because on big HD screens it looked miles ahead of the wii, much sharper, more colourful, almost no jaggies in sight. The difference from wii to wiiU is much bigger than ps3 to ps4 or 360 to One.

I currently play on a 42 inch TV, and in the Wii's case, via component cables in progressive scan, so no 480i for me.

And I would disagree, there are actually quite a few games I think look nice on Wii; I've already listed several, including some third party efforts like Sonic Colours. Just because they were technically well below PS3/360 doesn't mean I can't find them appealing visually.

I don't play on a projector or 100 inch screen or on PS4 Pro/Xbox One X/PC, so I guess my frame of reference is different.

My TV is 42 inches and my primary platform is the Switch. But I'm still able to fire up, say, Mario Galaxy or Sonic Colours and while they do have noticeable jaggies, I still think they look visually appealing overall.

The topic was not if it looks appealing, but TOP GRAPHICAL GAMES OF THE GENERATION, Mario galaxy looks good to me, but I cant honestly say that it looks as good as for example Killzone 2, Metal gear solid 5, Tomb raider, Crysis 3, Bioshock, Uncharted 2 and many others. It looks very good for a wii game, but not on top 10 or even top 20 graphically of the generation. With that said I still play N64 on my 100inch projector but I know the graphics cant compare, and that's fine, games are still fun.

The topic asked us what were the top graphical games on each 7th gen console. The Wii is one of those consoles. So I listed the ones that were the best looking on it.
