I actually like Trudeau, I think a lot of the hate he gets is pretty silly. 

I agree, even for the whole brownface fiasco. Dan Akroyd did brownface for a gag in Trading Places, and we still hold him in high regard.

This is an actions vs words situation, I Feel. Yeah, brownface isn't cool...but he's spent much of his political career trying to help folks from around the world as best he can, with right now and the issues in Syria/Middle East proving he's not racist, he just made a bad choice in high school. Seriously, what person didn't say or do something terrible in high school? It's high school, teenagers are shitheads. and...you know...people grow and mature and change as they grow up. You can say or do something stupid in your youth and grow up to be a compassionate, intelligent person. Trudeau is that. a compassionate, intelligent person. 

IT's a shame that Canada as a whole is doing some pretty shitty things in regards to the natives. but we have kinda always been shitty to native tribes. Not an excuse, but the sad reality.
