publisher: prints the booklet, game medium, cover and back-cover. Advertises and markets the game. His brandname is printed on the game. Ships the game units to its distributors. Earns brutto income per unit sold to retailers and pays with it the developers, distributors, marketing company and licensing fees. What´s left is the total netto income.

distributor: distributes the game to retailers and gets paid for this job from the publisher.
