The OP's post is just as ridiculous as all of the people already declaring the PS5's success.  We don't even know what games will be on the PS5.

Too many people think that gaming is about hardware or gaming is about company brand.  Nope.  Gaming is about games.  People say it, but they don't believe it.  Gaming is about games.  It is premature to call PS5 a success or failure until we have some indication what kind of games it is going to have.

True, and MS announcing a 12Tflops beast of a console and then saying all their 1st party games will run on the ancient X1 too, is probably the worst way to get people excited about a next gen games. My guess is that they're positioning the Series X as a super premium product and it will be so expensive, they know it's not going to reach mass market, kinda like their $200 elite controller.  I'm guessing it will be $699 or more and they'll try to sell them through a subscription plan, just like with $1000 phones.

Maybe that will work, but probably not. Especially if Sony releases a $399 ps5, where people don't have to wait 2 years before they get true next gen exclusives.
