The end of the 2020s we may well be having similar debates over Elder Scrolls 6 vs Witcher 4, lulz. (Oh who am I kidding, Elder Scrolls 6 is clearly coming in the 2030s for PS7 and Xbox Zero)

Has the Witcher 4 been announced lol? On a Serious note, I think Bethesda has some pretty big shoes to fill with the ES6, which is why maybe we have yet to see it. I mean how can they top Skyrim? Apart from that, the genre has some real contenders now like the W3, BotW, HZD, RDR2, etc. It is a different scene from the one they faced when they released Skyrim back in 2011. It will take a lot to impress the masses the same way  they did nearly a decade ago.

Not yet, but I'm sure at some point in the next decade they'll make it given the runaway success of 3 and now the show haha.

And yeah, that's the problem with not only following up such a popular game but also the ever increasing and improving competition, it's getting harder and harder to blow people away. Maybe that's one reason they decided to sit out a whole gen, so the leap would be more dramatic.
