Yes. The switch is not selling as well in Europe as in other countries. Europe has twice the population as Japan and US combined, but only a fraction of the overall switch sales.

First of all Europe is not a country. Second of all there are about as many people living in Europe as in the US.

Edit: Yeah my second point was wrong. Not sure where I got that from.

Europe population is ~800 million

US is ~330 million

Japan is ~100 million

Despite this Europe is less than 1/5 switch total sales, whereas Europe is just under 50% of sales for the PS4. It's a huge difference.

I'm trying to say the switch should make a soccer game or something to help with sales in Europe.

Aside from your general ignorance of the European market, contrary to popular belief it's not just any football game that is popular in Europe, it's mostly FIFA as a brand that many of the European player base is loyal to. Konami's PES doesn't nearly hit the same sales. A Mario Strikers game would only appeal to an existing fanbase. It wouldn't draw many from the FIFA crowd.

Nintendo made it big with their Ken Griffey Jr baseball game. They made it big with Wii sports. They can and have made many successful sports games without mario or other nintendo characters.
