At this point I kinda just assumed Windows makes money by collecting and selling data. Like any other respectable OS.
Its always possible MS just wants more people using Windows. Using their console isnt a crazy idea to achieve that. Just seems unlikely.
I've argued a big reason Xbox games are on Windows was to prop up the Micosoft Store. Thus helping Windows 10. Increased software revenue likely became a focus as well.
