That is true, while games like Labo would of course be possible with accessories on other platforms they would be more expensive and less successful.

While it could be possible, I don't think Nintendo would have the type of freedom to experiment like that while being under other platforms (i.e., Sony, Microsoft, etc.). Do you think they would be allowed to create something like Labo, Ring Fit, Wii Fit, Wii Sports, etc. under other platforms? Or do you think they'll just be stuck with Smash, Pokemon, Mario, and Zelda, with a few Kirby games?

Would they be allowed? Yeah absolutely. Platform holders don't stop you from releasing/making accessories for their consoles. There's been all sorts like UDraw tablets and Drumkits etc. They wouldn't be stopped from making them, but games like Labo probably wouldn't fair very well outside of the Switch.

I think really what it all depends on is how much more money they could make selling there games on PC and other platforms, and how many of those sales would be actual new sales rather than just sales transferring from console to PC. Though they could always just do a 2 year delay... and then people may even double dip, buying there games on Switch and then buying them on PC 2 years later... xD

I know I'd double dip on Odyssey and Mario Kart if they came to PC.

If they ported Odyssey, BOTW and Mario Kart to steam this year I'm sure they'd gross anywhere from $1-$2 billion. That's a hefty paycheck.
