Honestly there is no benefit to do small iterations.

Nintendo are on a winner with the switch they should hang out as long as possible before they release a switch 2, Even if its 3-5 more years.

They need to wait for technology to advance far enough where they can somewhat bridge the gap slowly to Sony and Microsoft. They can't keep playing catch up all the time with mini jumps. Only jump to a new system early if a system fails, like the WiiU.

PS5/XBOXXXXX will be what 12TFLOPS each? What benefit is there to release a switch in 2021? If wont even come close to the TFLOPS. PS4 Pro is what 4TFOPS? what could Nintendo possible release in 2021 that would even match that from a portable/docked perspective? It is a waste of time disturbing a eco system that is functioning.

Exactly.

2021 will probably just see a premium Switch for people who want the best Switch experience and don't mind still buying a full priced Switch years after its launch. OG Switch will be discounted and Lite will be cheap for portable-only players. Then probably in 2023 Nintendo should be able to release a Switch 2 that is a significant upgrade that can at the very least run Pro/X games without a problem.
