Well your argument clearly has not played out through sales history. Your argument is saying Xbox One X shouldn't have been made, PS4 Pro shouldn't have been made, Game Boy Color shouldn't have been made, the upgrades to the 3DS shouldn't have been made, etc. Upgrades to systems to provide a little better performance have been done plenty and are continuing to be done. So why would it not make sense on the Switch? As it has done on all these other systems, it offers a premium play experience for the system, and in the case of a portable, as I said, some nintendo fans like to get every version of portables as well. Having the Lite in now way does anything to make there be no point in having a premium version of the Switch. The Lite is the exact opposite of that, its the cheap version of the Switch. If you had actual history to back you up then you could make your point, like if the 3DS XL and New 3DS or whatever premium versions they had bombed then you could make your point, but the New 3DS actually became the main version of the 3DS, so history proves the exact opposite of your argument.

No my argument has factored those in fine yours has not properly looked at them in the actual context of their performance, GBC came 9 years after the GB released this is in contrast to your 2021 prediction which is only 4 years into the life of the platform it is in fact a prime example that counters your argument GBC was also handled like a successor it was essentially like a new platform and had its own library the same can't be said for N3DS, PS4p and X1X. Success isn't about a little better performance it's about significant performance X1X giving a little better performance hasn't stopped it getting destroyed it barely made a difference to the point that in the three weeks Switch caught up with X1 it has already been left behind by a full 3m, PS4p didn't make any difference to the market as the PS4 was heavily the market leader to begin with the same result would have happened with out a pro model.

3DS XL is also not a premium model like you're arguing you're going on about a model with increased performance the 3DS XL doesn't do that it's just an aesthetic change the price was even cheaper this doesn't back your argument in anyway the N3DS would be the main model you know why? It's the only model Nintendo made available since 2015 as it cost too much to have numerous variants on the market in other words people have no choice but to buy the N3DS this again counters your own argument you haven't really look up the factors in your argument here.

Read what I posted about the Lite so you understand why it was released it's more than just a cheap version the's a strategic and market based reasoning for its creation.
