Well your argument clearly has not played out through sales history. Your argument is saying Xbox One X shouldn't have been made, PS4 Pro shouldn't have been made, Game Boy Color shouldn't have been made, the upgrades to the 3DS shouldn't have been made, etc. Upgrades to systems to provide a little better performance have been done plenty and are continuing to be done. So why would it not make sense on the Switch? As it has done on all these other systems, it offers a premium play experience for the system, and in the case of a portable, as I said, some nintendo fans like to get every version of portables as well. Having the Lite in now way does anything to make there be no point in having a premium version of the Switch. The Lite is the exact opposite of that, its the cheap version of the Switch. If you had actual history to back you up then you could make your point, like if the 3DS XL and New 3DS or whatever premium versions they had bombed then you could make your point, but the New 3DS actually became the main version of the 3DS, so history proves the exact opposite of your argument.
