Switch still got much more "serious" ports than Wii U and Wii, I think Switch 2 will have specs closer to PS5 to allow for even better third party support.

Still puzzled why Gamecube never got a mainline GTA game.

Maybe because GC used the miniDVD disc which is 1,4gb only?

I think only San Andreas may have been difficult to put on a single disc. While 3 and Vice City were smaller.

GC had pretty good 3rd party support, but primarily because it was easy. Sales trends showed PS2 and Xbox were more similar in regard to audience.
