40. Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep

A fun handheld Kingdom Hearts game which overhauls the battle system, allowing a fairly complex setup of commands in battle. It features three new characters with three different paths through the story, before the final chapter unlocks. Obviously this game is an important part of the ongoing and perpetually confusing KH plot, but since I’m already invested in the madness, this isn’t a bad thing. Technically impressive for a PSP game and it even holds up well enough on modern consoles with the KH Collections.
