I will tell you one thing once you bring up Sony first party you already lost the debate.

First of Sony cannot compete with Nintendo first party because once a game stop selling well for Sony that will be the end of that game

This is the case with any game

, it’s not something magical

They have plenty of valuable IPs that people continue to want to play long after the games have stopped selling

about they always want to make new IP,

This is a good thing that other companies should try more often

it just simply not selling well. Over Sony years there are many examples of games you can use for an example for current game we can use little big planet that came out for ps4 or which ever you like.

people may want to bring up 3rd party games as a saving grace but it makes your case worse because if all those 3rd party developers got together to make their own system or online streaming store it would be a wrap for Sony they do not have first party content to keep up with Nintendo and nowhere close to half the money to keep up with Microsoft.

If money were all there was to it, Xbox wouldn't be getting stomped into the ground. As far as 1st party content is concerned, it isn't Sony who struggles (or would struggle if, somehow, all 3rd Party companies decided to make a system and exclude one of the biggest players to ever enter this market). That's just an unrealistic way to engage this argument.

NPD charts, Mediacreate charts, all charts basically show the majority of games people play on their Sony or Microsoft system is 3rd party games so no first party is not a big deal for majority of the customers it’s only for a small vocal online community the same online community that came after Pokémon and realize how small they are compared to the bigger fan base who do not see the huge problems they see

check the charts in a top 10 best seller for Sony systems or look at the last 12 months from NPD or go further back and you will see Sony only takes 1 or 2 spots in the top 10 best sellers for its system with everything else filled up with 3rd party

then you have word of mouth from Sony ceo a year or two back who says only 3 or 4 out of 10 Sony games make money but they still take chances on new games

numbers support Nintendo being okay in a future being on their own

and cut it out with saying Sony recent numbers show they keeping up with Nintendo look at horizon it drop price after 3 weeks from launch then Sony bundle it a lot to increase its sales which Sony do more bundles than Nintendo it help inflate the game sales

look at Spider-Man last year those sales inflate the number for Black Friday selling the game with the system which the system sold very well on Black Friday

People admittedly make a big deal about Sony's recent properties doing "Nintendo numbers". They don't even need such a comparison, as they sell very good on their own terms. That said....

how many bundles do you see Zelda or smash bros in? Look at last of us Sony best selling ps4 game it was basically given out for free Groupon at a time sold it for 5 to 10 dollars

and last part if Nintendo system sell well only people that can compete with it are 3rd party Mario kart Wii before it got bundle sold 30 million it took grand theft on two systems Xbox and Sony which both sold over 150 million together to sell 30 million on PS3 and Xbox 360

....Nintendo, Microsoft, and Sony bundle games. Pointless to try and minimize this for any of those three and even sillier to push it as a bad thing.

switch will reach 3 years old In March and it already have more 10 million sellers than Sony

Another perspective.

We are comparing Nin and Sony here, and it's because a Sony fan brought it first.

Sony games could still selling a bit and people still want to play them after 3,4 years but still sold millions at $60 like Nintendo games? No, they don't. Imagine if Horizon is still $60, how many people will get it now?

Big deal or not, they don't even need such a comparison, correct. But we are celebrating Nintendo hardware sales here, and suddenly someone stepped in then made a comparison to Sony. What was he trying to prove here?
