Not just Lite but the big Oct/Nov exclusives should also help offset the lack of a big December title.

Last year-Super Mario Party+Pokemon Let's Go

This year-Ring Fit, Luigi's Mansion, Mario & Sonic, Pokemon Sword/Shield

Also last Dec had the $35 eShop bundle, they could do something like that again.

I doubt Mario & Sonic is the kind of game people buy a console for, but Ring Fit/Pokemon/LM3 should help, yeah. Still, Ultimate was absolutely huge so there's a lot to make up for.

On it's own, no it's probably not a big system seller but it's more about the combination of appealing titles that sell a system.

Look at the Sept-Nov lineup.

Spyro Reignited Trilogy, NBA 2k20, Daemon x Machina, GRID Autosport, Link's Awakening, Dragon Quest XI, FIFA 20, Ori & The Blind Forest, Trine 4, Yooka-Laylee, Killer Queen Black, Overwatch, Witcher 3, Ring Fit, Atelier Ryza, Resident Evil 5/6, Vampyr, Super Monkey Ball, Luigi's Mansion 3, Just Dance 2020, Mario & Sonic Tokyo, Super Lucky's Tale, Pokemon Sword/Shield

You've got games for kids, teens, adults, casuals, hardcore ranging from indie to AAA from Japanese & western devs in genres including shooter, sports, racing, RPG, platformer, action, etc.

They have stacked the lineup with a little something for everyone over the last few months and released an entry level sku while also still being able to rely on the strength of evergreens, they shouldnt have a problem beating last Dec sales.
