From what I saw it appears to affect sd cards formated as exFAT rather than FAT32, after a big game crash.

Also you don't lose save files, you lose your sd card data, as in your games, so you have to reinstall/download them.

I don't think the Switch has any P.T. like case so you wouldn't actually lose anything, but it still sucks hard.
