Yeah, I've been checking them out and they are pretty solid. It was one thing I didnt like in sun/moon, most new mons had abysmal speed, but this gen they really balanced them well.

But Copperajah with only 30 base speed? :C

Sadly Copperajah is not the only slow boy. Coalossal is also 30 speed. Appletun is 30 speed. Grapploct is 42 speed. Hatterene is 29 speed. Cursola is 30 speed. Runerigus is 30 speed. Pinurchin is 15 speed.

But there are also a good many fast Pokemon and alot of medium speed Pokemon. 2 of the starters, Bolthund, Dragapult, Eiscue (with broken head), and Barraskewda are all fast, over 100 speed. Plenty more with speed over 70.

I do have a few complaints with the stats. I wish the 2 new bugs, Centiskorch and Frosmoth, were faster, only 65 speed, and Frosmoth needed higher stats in general, I don't like that it's BST is that much lower than Centiskorch. Would also have liked Toxitricity to be a bit faster, 75 speed is ok but not great. Was hoping for a higher BST for Cramorant and Corviknight, both are under 500 BST. Eldegoss is also a bit underwhelming at 460 BST.

I'm actually pretty ok with low speed Pokemon.  I prefer Pokemon that are either very high speed or very low.  Since its an all or nothing stat, I'd rather just know that I'm going to go second, and plan accordingly.  Like, when I use Togekiss, my strategy is typically predicated on going second, but it's base speed is around 80, and it actually screws me up if they send out something even slower and I go first.
