Nope.

1) I attacked people for judging a game they haven't played.

I say you attack people, you say nope, but then immediately admit to attacking people...

Yeah I'd stop responding too after that one. xD

Do yourself a favour and take an English class; it seems to me that you don't quite understand how the language works and the amount of time and effort it would take for me to explain how poorly you understood @Chrkeller is not really worth it. I will say, however, that based solely on what he's said and what you've said, he's right, you're wrong, and you're desperately clinging to your negative perceptions and cynicism in spite of his reason.

So you should probably give up. His stance of "I'll decide for myself after playing based on the experience and the total package" is objectively a better and more intelligent stance than your "Despite having not played the game, I already know it sucks because it has reportedly done things I don't like."

You'd never know this based on my responses in this thread, but I actually agree with like 99% of the criticisms of the game. I don't like that the dex was cut, I don't like that the game is more restrictive with its options, I don't like the removal of features, I don't like the simplification of the story, I don't like the lack of a post-game, I do think that GameFreak should have put a lot more effort into the animations, I do think this game could afford a budget 10x what it got, I do think that GameFreak is being lazy and disingenuous. I really do agree with every criticism and in many ways the game is definitely shaping up to be a disappointment...

...but I'm also a realist. I knew the dex cut would happen eventually and by this point well over half of the Pokemon in the game are redundant. Until I actually see how the game plays, I can't know if this was actually a good decision or not. I think it sucks I can't have a handful of my favourites, but it doesn't bother me that I am expected to play a new game. This isn't an expansion pack, it's a sequel.

When it comes to options and features, it is a little unfortunate that the game holds your hand a bit more, but like some reviewers have said it sounds like it makes more sense this way. Again, I don't know if I actually like it or not, I just don't like the SOUNDS of it. All of the features, the simplified story, the lack of post-game content...all of this might not matter if the game is still fun. I hear all the complaints and find myself a bit apprehensive, but then I see videos of the game being played and I imagine myself in the shoes of the player and I can't help but feel that warm fuzzy wave of nostalgia. This is still a Pokemon game, it's still almost certain to be a lot of fun, and I genuinely feel that the people who are whining are the people who take the game entirely too seriously.

Do I feel that GameFreak can and should use those billions of dollars to create more Pokemon models? yeah, they should. but at the same time, why? it'd be nice and they've spent the last 20 years overdelivering on game features and pokemon, miraculously bringing all prior pokemon to the new games without issue, but that should rightly be seen as a generous exception, not the default. We're not entitled to the full dex any more than you're entitled to Mewtwo in Brawl or T-Hawk in Street Fighter IV or whatever (I don't know if T-Hawk was in IV). Why spend 150 million to develop a game if statistics show that like less than 1% of the audience uses Bidoof and thus you could get the same sales for half that budget?

Yeah, it'd be nice to see them overdelivering again and we all know they could do it, but we're not entitled to the world. No amount of people bitching at me and claiming I'm missing the point is going to change that. It'd be nice, but we are not entitled to have it all.

We just aren't.

And you (As well as so many others here) are so hopped up on hate that you can't (or refuse to) see that. I do not like a lot of the changes and I do agree that GameFreak could have done more, but none of that changes the fact that Pokemon Sword and Shield are almost certainly going to still be a lot of fun, are still going to carry the spirit of the games forward, and is going to be a stepping stone in going forward. That's just the reality of the situation. Hopefully Sword and Shield do well, so when the next wave or gen comes around, they'll do better. In the mean time, I and millions of others are still excited to play a Pokemon game on a home console.
