I see no problem with an interactive movie. I probably won't play it, and certainly not at $60. But, if others want to play it, that's fine. If they have fun with it, or they appreciate its artistic achievements, that's even better. A game isn't good or bad based on whether it appeals to me.
As for the budget being unreasonable for a "walking simulator", the market will figure that out. If the game isn't profitable, look for Kojima to have trouble raising money for his next game. If it is a smash success, look for everyone to throw money at him to make another walking simulator ASAP. That's the wonder of markets.
If Death Stranding appeals to you as entertainment, or as a collectible art piece, go buy it. If it doesn't, then skip it. Pick up Outer Worlds or something. There's no need to talk shit to people that feel differently than you about this game, or gaming in general. The industry is huge. There's plenty of room for everyone's tastes.
