The gaming public are definitely tribal when it comes to certain producers and creators, but there's no defending a game when a review states that it's boring, tedious, not fun and or a slog but give it a 90 or 100. No one is saying that you can't enjoy the story at all or that it can't be the redeeming quality of a game, but games are meant to be interactive so that part of the game should be inviting to some degree...

My biggest gripe with those that are trying to sell this games story over the "dull, tedious gameplay" that some reviewers claim. Why create an atmospheric highly detailed environment if it doesn't matter much what you are able to do within this world? TLoU is a cinematic experience also, but I've never heard people praise the game for being dull, boring or tedious because it's none of those and that factors into it's critical acclaim.

And How many reviews out of many state that?
