At this point, I don't think they are going to cut the PS4 price until after the PS5 releases. I mean, really, this would have been the year to cut the price. The software lineup this year was pretty weak. Sony didn't even go to E3 or have a significant replacement for an E3 presentation. They basically phoned in the whole year. Did they cut the price? Nope. PS4 is still $300.
Next year, the software lineup is already looking better. If they didn't cut the price during a weak year, then I don't think they'll do it during a strong year. After the PS5 releases, they'll probably give the PS4 one final cut, but I wouldn't hold your breath until then.
