My second favorite franchise is Souls. The best part of Souls is the online component. I also love Monster Hunter World, again heavy online component. Online is important for some gamers, including myself. And yes Sony charges for it, when they shouldn't. That is part of the cost (for people like me) of owning a ps4.
I think the take home message is everybody is different, thus different products hold different values. The idea that Stadia is just bad because, well that is silly. It has appeal. Not having to pay for online, assuming Stadia gets souls, would be a huge factor for me. I regularly play souls and hate having to pay $60 to do so.

I'll lived in 3 different states in 8 years. I haven't been stuck with 20 mbps internet since 2005. 35 mbps is beyond an easy lift today. I have the lowest package offered in my area at 80 mbps. For $100 I can get 300 mbps.
