The car models look fantastic of course, they were all take from previous games designed for 360. The engine itself though wasn't designed or optimized well enough for this game though. Maybe because it was rushed project and the engine wasn't designed for a game this open.
The environment in FH2 was blurrier, lacking in foliage, jarring pop in, etc. In comparison FH1's environments are much more lush but you don't actually drive in it, primarily just the roads.
With that said, I really think FH1 and Forza 4 are better looking games. FH2 however was still a fun game, just visually inconsistent and randomly placed walls make exploring the world frustrating compared for the X1 release.
