Alrighty, played through the first hour.

It's not pretty. But we already knew it wouldn't be.

The important thing is, its still very playable; not one of those janky ports where the whole experience just seems laggy, buggy and slipshod. Characters still feel about as responsive as you'd expect of a typical 30fps adventure game, enemy tells and relevant objects are still readable in spite of the lower resolution, there's never the sense that the technical cutbacks get in the way of playing it, basically.

It is exactly what it says on the box, The Witcher 3, complete with all the DLC, sure... it has lower quality assets than the PS4 but again, if that is a shock to anyone they need a smack, also if it's the best assets you want while playing your games.... just gonna put it out there guys, if you are playing this on a PS4 (be that PS4 base model or Ps4 pro) then you are playing it in a way that a person running the game on a 1080 literally looks upon like you are doing to the Switch port, a 30fps mess.

That left side, the 1060, I mean you're talking about a GPU 1 generation out of date and 5 steps down from the 1080TI even... and it's pushing over 50fps on ultra settings. So aye, if you're feeling high and mighty because you played this on the medium or so settings of the ps4 version @30fps, aye, well done, you have the more powerful potato compared to the portable potato in relative terms of actually playing this at anywhere near the settings it can be played if you want the "best" experience, from a graphics point of view.

Just where that 1060 which chucks this out at 1080/ultra and close to 60fps is effectively half the power of the highest end of GPU's now, https://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Nvidia-GTX-1060-3GB-vs-Nvidia-RTX-2080-Ti/3646vs4027 so yeee... you take a PCMR GPU, break it in half and it would play the game twice as well as a ps4 would, just... keep that in mind before you say "this looks too blurry to be playable for me!" to PCMR you live in a world of blur! Blissful blurry ignorance!

If you have an insane gaming laptop with a battery which can maintain a run of this game @ultra/60while on the bog then huzzah for you, you may look down on the Switch owners playing this portably, however, I'm going to guess that said laptop would not come at a cost of $200 which the Lite can be bought for which can run this game @low/30
