I would always choose a device that offers new content/experiences over something that offers the same experiences I already have.

New console over a new TV.

VR over a Mid Gen Upgrade.

Upgrading is something best done with excess, expanding is growth, and growth is what life is all about.

Except if a large part of that new console is 4k + HDR, none of which my current TV supports....  that would be like having a sports car with no gas.

Nah, a game built for Gamepad and Flat Screens, is the same whether it is on a 120" 8K HDR Display or a 6" 1080p phone. At the end of the day, a great experience is a great experience. Bigger, Brighter, Higher Resolution Screens are a luxury.

The main focus of next gen, from an experience level, will be, faster load times, smoother frame rates, and enhanced immersion through advance controls and gameplay. The massive upgrade in CPU power will also mean a giant leap in AI and Physics, which will bring the best games to life like never before.

Nothing that won't be just as enjoyable on a 1080p display, as an 8K display.

Stop hate, let others live the life they were given. Everyone has their problems, and no one should have to feel ashamed for the way they were born. Be proud of who you are, encourage others to be proud of themselves. Learn, research, absorb everything around you. Nothing is meaningless, a purpose is placed on everything no matter how you perceive it. Discover how to love, and share that love with everything that you encounter. Help make existence a beautiful thing.
