Well, this was predictable wasnt it? Its just a traditional negotiation that filtered out to the public scrutiny and that made it a mess. That 50/50 deal was just the first - obviously way out of proportion - offer, but it was bound to eventually fall in the 25/75 area since the begining. Both have much to lose if it didnt worked out.
