Im just not sure if that's a good idea. People who are already Mega Man fans and like previous games are the ones they should appeal to. I mean how do you appeal to people who don't know much about Mega Man at this point? I think its better to stick to the tried and true than giving it a bigger budget and hope more people will jump in. 

We've had tried and true so much at this point, they need to try and actually grow the franchise a bit.

They have tried that many times and it keeps selling worse. The original Mega Man games are still the best selling. Mega Man Legends, Battle Network, Zero, Mega Man X, Star Force don't really come close. Maybe the first MMX, but that's about it.
