About time, I will always pick a game with achievements over one without. Probably one of the main reasons I only pick up my switch every couple of weeks, despite having every single 1st party game released so far on it. Even though i don't chase achievements anymore, I just like having them there as a way to show my progress in every game iv played.

So I have two games for you;

One you’d like a lot on the left on a system without trophies, and one you’d find terrible on the right on a system with trophies.

Which one do you pick?

Seems like to those who dissed trophy things, "trophy hunter" doesn't exist? Also almost every single enthusiastic PlayStation player around me are that type of people who have average 20+ platinums. Can't really say achievement system is no important just because it doesn't exist on Nintendo system.

I’d argue taking the full installed base into account, on PlayStation at least, hardly anyone cares at all about these things, because whenever I look at the trophies list out of curiousity, they all have a terribly low attainment rate. Except the ones that are progress based obviously. Pretty much all of the ones where you have to go out of your way to do something special have a single digit percentage, or even just 1%. Platinums and multiplayer based trophies are often even lower.
