@Barkley:I am not arguing semantics all day.  FFVII was a singular game, the remake isn't.  Call it whatever you want.  It doesn't change how Square is handling the remake.  

So uncharted and many others are episodic as well because they needed more than 1 game to tell the story?

If Uncharted 1 was remastered on the ps5, and broken up into 5 parts.  Yes, those parts would be individual episodes, because all 5 parts would be needed to tell Uncharted 1's story.  And from a story perspective, Uncharted 1 tells a complete story.  Yes Uncharted's story is expanded via 2/3/4, but that doesn't mean Uncharted 1's story is incomplete.    

Look, I grew up playing FFVII.  I wouldn't be shocked if I have beaten the game 12 times.  Through Midgar isn't a complete story, it just isn't.  Thus, it is an episode, because it is one piece of many that will be required to FFVII's story. 

If I make an apple pie, cut it into 8 pieces.....  claim those 8 pieces are all full individual pies...  I guess many here would believe me.

And while FFVII Remake looks amazing, I am concerned about all the extra content.  I don't see how they are going to make Midgar 40 hours.  40 hours doing what?  Midgar is maybe 5 hours in FFVII.
