I'll try to stay optimistic that they will do it right. It's an RPG, and having it episodic could ruin character progression unless they allow it to transfer over.

As for a 40 hour Midgar, maybe the Don Corneo cross-dressing arc is what they are expanding on to fill the time. Fingers crossed (no pun intended).

I am optimistic as well.  I do believe it has to have character carryover, or it will just be weird.  That will be curious how it is handled with the ps5 coming next year.

@Barkley:I am not arguing semantics all day.  FFVII was a singular game, the remake isn't.  Call it whatever you want.  It doesn't change how Square is handling the remake.
