Yes it's definitely true. Nintendo games make a lot more revenue even though Sony is somewhat rivaling them on sheer numbers now. Still it's great to have at least two companies having massive success with their first party games both critically and commercially.

Nintendo is the only publisher that doesn't cut their prices, and while that's great for business it's annoying as a customer.

I like how people brag and even think it is good for them that Nintendo don't do price cuts on older games.
