More japanese sales, Cheaper developement costs, nintendo is publishing the game so nintendo will be funding the developement/advertisement, they are getting help from suda 51. Many more reasons. Also the game would be most likely cancelled if it was being developed for another console since tecmo is getting sued by many many people.

 

The only person I know of that is suing Tecmo is Itagaki
