Oh yeah I don't think for a second someone is going to keep their X1 still connected and not buy a neXtBox because it won't run Fighters Within and Ryse but still I'm just saying that I don't believe the new systems will have 100% backwards compatibility as that is a very hard thing to achieve when you look at some of the weird titles.

Yep I never played ryse and I dont have a kinect , I bought Xbox one in 2014 then I think few months sold it 3 more years passes I buy an Xbox one X because of the 4k craze in november 2017 almost 2018 :)

"Should next gen systems be fully Backwards Compatible from Day 1 to encourage people to upgrade? " I think that's what you meant from the OP's language? sorry if I'm mistaken I'm rather tired to the point where my brain doesn't do that auto-correct on little mistakes thing which it should do.

Double sorry if your title is perfect and I am just misreading it because of my tired state, I'm coming from being stuck in a project which is 4k words... I love to waffle but it's hard to actually cut the waffle to get the marks for the project.

If you've never played anything on Kinect btw, you said you still had an X360 set up in your place for some of its games, you could check out the Xbox360s Kinect and a game called Child of Eden, you could probably get both Kinect and Child of Eden now for about a fiver (for both) in a second hand shop, but that game was an experience for me, really felt great to get lost in it, and the music / movement is incredibly good exercise if you get into it.... it's sadly one type of game which I can't play with my current set up.... Projector + Kinect = Shadow of me on screen dancing about.
