$400 for a console and a game doesn't seem like a crazy number. Or do you mean $400 for each?

My point was that I wouldn't need it to play another game other than Metroid Prime of the Wild for me to be happy plopping down $400.  But to your question...yeah, I'd help fund an expansive Metroid Prime for $400 if that was what it took to make.  I'd easily have paid that for Breath of the Wild.  That kind of experience is just ridiculously amazing.  It's less than $1/hour.  Besides, my Rocket League addiction that I only paid $20 for is adding money into my Game Bank all the time.

When it comes to value for money I do get what you mean, for me now I think breath of the Wild is coming up on the 500 hours total play time and I got the base game and the DLC for it, but I think that game is so good that I've recommended some people buy a Switch and that game alone and it would be worth the price, if you were to pay the full 320 for the Switch and 80 for the game+dlc you would still get value for money imo that game is just so worth it.

Then I've got Paladins.... 900 hours in... free2play and think it's gotten less than 30e from me still for cosmetics and battle passes for each season, it would be perfectly possible to go all that time without paying a cent but I think their battle pass system works great and if you just buy one and play the game a lot you can buy each next season's version with the crystals earned in game.
