Xbox consumers don't lose out by their games going to other platforms, except in their own Ego. The only thing that suffers is Xbox Hardware relevance. If Xbox Hardware sales were to drop far enough then Xbox consumers could begin to feel consequences, but that hasn't happened yet. Unless you count the PS4 getting exclusive content and timed deals. Yet that has nothing to do with where Microsoft is putting there games as the XBO was dropping behind long before that. The only way in which Xbox Gamers could be considered second class citizens is having to pay for gold while PC gamers do not. It's a weird situation where if you buy a Microsoft game on Microsofts own hardware you have to pay them to play online. While if you buy Microsofts games on someone elses hardware (PC) you don't. It's weird to get a worse service in that sense by buying into Microsoft and it's products to a greater extent. |
Perfectly logical. Guess what? You're absolutely correct about the underlined part (beyond the rest). That is one of the longest standing reasons this gen why Xbox gamers are becoming second class citizens. Not only are PC gamers getting their games on steam, but they get Xbox Live Silver and play online for free while they continue to fund Xbox in a venture that they will not drop anytime soon in a monetized form. Kudos. :)
